Cover story…

Just thought I’d post up the covers for books one and two of the Metonym trilogy – Metonym and The Corruption. The crying/smiley face motif is an important element of the overall story arc, representing… well, you’ll see, hopefully! The image itself is a photo of some coffee smeared over an old, well worn work surface, hence the scratches. Originally I wanted the image to be on a frosted/steamed up mirror, projected over a blurred face, but eventually decided that this idea was a little too, well, shit. This/these, on the other hand, work(s) much better.
